Progress on 2026

Progress on my ideas for 2026 post, with a few things I've thought of or remembered since.

Here on the site:

writing more about books I'm reading is in progress, I'm drafting myself a little plan
the themes idea is sort of happening, I've got pages for creativity and curiosity and trying new things and doing more stuff
other pages I've added: collecting quotes, curricula, reading, history and heritage, art

Personal, home, family stuff:

no movement yet on going to a monster truck show. I'm a bit relieved
swim event in the Lakes is all booked - we are 'in training'
fun summer parties will happen in the summer
I got my photo done to renew my passport... then didn't renew my passport and the photo timed out so now I'm starting again from scratch
I've been pitching pickleball. It's not canoeing weather yet for me
am indeed keeping an eye on local things and booked a few shows, gigs, events. Been to a neighbourhood meeting, some writing events, the orchestra
dug out about half The Mound of excess soil in the garden. It's not the digging that's the problem, it's the then taking it to the recycling centre
something I forgot before: put up more art around the house, and various DIY things

Learning, reading, projects stuff:

I'll be doing some big reads in the summer, also the cyanotypes I think will be better in the summer when there is actual direct sunlight
went to a letterpress session
done nothing about learning basic electronics and nothing new about my French. Whoops!
have completed another two chapters of the Marianne North Recollections project

Games:

went to the boardgame cafe to play D&D. Made a friend. Booked in to go back to the boardgame cafe to play D&D
done a little more work on my ttrpg curriculum
printed off many games and massively organised my collection online and off
doing a long session zero for a Monster of the Week campaign, and several other one-shots in the works
new idea: go to a Troika megadungeon session
