Art
I can't do art. That's not a thing I can do. So this is more art history and appreciation. A lot of overlap with history and literature.
From my 'art in my life' post on my relationship with art: My wife did Fine Art at university (I snuck into some of her art history lectures, helped on her projects, and sat through a lot of performance art that might have permanently scarred me.) The main character in my favourite film is a painter. For the past few years I've been working on a list of women artists, reading biographies, and trying to learn more art history. I'm doing a project on Marianne North, a Victorian botanical artist.
From my Proust's questionnaire: I'm a fan of the Impressionists. Pissarro. Monet. Cézanne. Mary Cassatt. Berthe Morisot. Eva Gonzalès. I am fascinated by Rosa Bonheur's life more than her art maybe. Also Matisse, I like the big colours.
